Nominations are now open for the Meridian Stars Awards!

Each year, the City of Meridian celebrates the incredible people and organizations that make our community a great place to live, work, and raise a family through the Meridian Stars Awards. These awards honor individuals, businesses, and non-profits that go above and beyond to make a difference in our neighborhoods. Categories include:

  • Youth of the Year,
  • Senior of the Year,
  • Neighbor of the Year,
  • Small and Large Business of the Year,
  • and Non-Profit of the Year.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of honoring people whose kindness and commitment have left a lasting impact. People like Carol and Elden Leavitt, who opened their home to others and became the “honorary grandparents” of their neighborhood. Or Hoyoon Song, a young leader active in music, athletics, and civic engagement. We’ve celebrated Patsy Gardner, who, even in her mid-80s, delivered Meals on Wheels twice a week, and local businesses like Loose Screw Beer Co. and Berkeley Building Co., which continually invest back into the community.

If you know someone, a business, or a non-profit that shines in service to our community, take a moment to nominate them for a Meridian Star Award.

Nominations are open until Friday, November 7, 2025, and can be submitted on the Meridian Stars webpage. Simply click “Nominate a Meridian Star” and share why your nominee deserves recognition.

Together, let’s celebrate those who make Meridian brighter every day and continue to show why our city truly shines.
